**IMPORTANT VACCINE UPDATE**

DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO PROVIDE THE PREVNAR (PNEUMOCOCCAL) VACCINE FOR OUR COMMERCIALLY INSURED PATIENTS. WE ARE WORKING TO SORT OUT THIS ISSUE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AND APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORT. IN THE MEANTIME, THESE PATIENTS CAN RECEIVE THIS VACCINE AT THEIR LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENTS.

THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO OUR VFC ELIGIBLE PATIENTS (SELF PAY, MEDICAID AND MEDICAID HMO'S) AS STATE VACCINES ARE PROVIDED TO OUR FACILITY AT NO COST.

WHILE WE UNDERSTAND THE DILEMMA AND INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE, PLEASE KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT AN EASY DECISION FOR OUR PRACTICE AS WE STRIVE TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE THE BEST POSSIBLE CARE FOR OUR PATIENTS. ONCE THIS TEMPORARY SITUATION HAS BEEN RECTIFIED WE WILL ALERT OUR PATIENTS IMMEDIATELY.

Changes to our practice flow:

-NO WALK-INS, NO EXCEPTIONS. Please call if you desire an appointment.

There is no mingling in the waiting room 

-bring your own toys/books as we have put ours away for the time-being

COVID-19 INFORMATION

-We do not currently have the capability to test for COVID-19 at Wards Corner Pediatrics and do not know when or if that will occur and we do no offer any COVID vaccines.

-know that we are disinfecting EVERY room after EVERY visit. We are additionally cleaning and disinfecting the entire office during the lunch hour.
